Join the K12 Security Information eXchange (K12 SIX) for a timely presentation and discussion about K-12 cyber incident response and recovery best practices, with a special focus on the long-term work of incorporating lessons learned.
Experiencing a cybersecurity incident involving the disruption of school operations, fraud, or a potential data breach is stressful. While the actions a school district takes in the hours and days following discovery of the incident are critical, the job of cyber incident recovery isn’t complete until steps are taken to prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future. This work often involves close coordination with district leadership, across departments and divisions, often with those who are not IT experts.
As a complement to the recently released K12 SIX Essential Cyber Incident Response Runbook, this webinar will offer an extended case study of the long-term cyber incident response and recovery work of Northshore School District in Bothell, WA, which experienced a significant cyber incident in 2019.
Moderated by Doug Levin, National Director of K12 SIX, this complimentary professional development webinar will address these issues and take questions from the audience. Presenters include:
• Jon Wiederspan, Network Operations Manager, Northshore School District (WA)
• Alexander Delgadillo, Network Security Engineer, Northshore School District (WA)
This webinar is sponsored by PC Matic, Inc.
