K12 SIX Covered on NBC’s Today Show

K12 SIX was thrilled to be covered by the Today Show for its work in primary and secondary education cybersecurity. Last year saw an 18% rise in publicly disclosed cyber incidents against school districts. Schools are targeted for ransomware payments and children's PII, among other reasons, and this year has already seen a 17% increase in attacks.

But we can better defend ourselves by working together to share cyber threat information. In threat sharing communities like K12 SIX, members can swap security tactics, warning of attacks, mitigation advice, and recovery best practices. K12 SIX analysts also source additional intelligence from government, vendor partners, and other industry sharing communities.

School IT teams don't need to face cybersecurity challenges alone, particularly during remote learning and the expanded attack surface that digital transformation brings.
